- Provide exceptional medical care to pediatric patients in the intensive care unit
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to develop and implement treatment plans
- Monitor and manage the critical care needs of pediatric patients, including but not limited to respiratory support, hemodynamic stability, and medication management
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide updates on the patient's condition and address any concerns or questions
- Stay up-to-date on current pediatric critical care practices and advancements in the field
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the pediatric intensive care unit
- Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly in medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback to improve patient outcomes
- Mentor and train medical students, residents, and fellows as needed
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times.
Board Certification In Pediatrics And Pediatric Critical Care Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Both Pediatrics And Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Demonstrating Expertise In Treating Critically Ill Children.
Extensive Experience In Pediatric Intensive Care: Prisma Health Is Seeking A Candidate With Significant Experience In Pediatric Intensive Care, Including Managing Complex And High Acuity Cases.
Leadership Skills: The Physician - Pediatric Intensivist Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Healthcare Professionals In The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. As Such, Strong Leadership Skills Are A Must For This Role.
