As a Physician in our pediatric intensive care unit, you will be responsible for managing the critical care needs of our pediatric patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible outcomes.   • Provide exceptional medical care to pediatric patients in the intensive care unit
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Monitor and manage the critical care needs of pediatric patients, including but not limited to respiratory support, hemodynamic stability, and medication management
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide updates on the patient's condition and address any concerns or questions
  • Stay up-to-date on current pediatric critical care practices and advancements in the field
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the pediatric intensive care unit
  • Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly in medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback to improve patient outcomes
  • Mentor and train medical students, residents, and fellows as needed
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times.

  • Board Certification In Pediatrics And Pediatric Critical Care Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Both Pediatrics And Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Demonstrating Expertise In Treating Critically Ill Children.

  • Extensive Experience In Pediatric Intensive Care: Prisma Health Is Seeking A Candidate With Significant Experience In Pediatric Intensive Care, Including Managing Complex And High Acuity Cases.

  • Leadership Skills: The Physician - Pediatric Intensivist Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Healthcare Professionals In The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. As Such, Strong Leadership Skills Are A Must For This Role.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Prisma Health Is A Busy Healthcare System With A High Volume Of Patients. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Thrive In A Fast-Paced Environment And Handle The Demands Of A Busy Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For A Physician - Pediatric Intensivist, As They Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Families, And A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals.
