1. Perform surgical procedures on patients with musculoskeletal injuries and disorders, including but not limited to joint replacements, fracture repairs, and soft tissue repairs.
2. Evaluate patients' medical histories and physical conditions to determine the best course of treatment and surgical approach.
3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and MRI scans, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists and occupational therapists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
5. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and post-operative care instructions.
6. Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
8. Stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery techniques and procedures, and incorporate them into practice as appropriate.
