  1. Conduct thorough patient financial screenings to determine eligibility for financial assistance programs.
  2. Educate patients on insurance coverage and billing processes, and assist in resolving any billing or insurance issues.
  3. Work closely with insurance companies and third-party payers to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
  4. Accurately enter and maintain patient financial information in electronic health records and billing systems.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the appropriate level of care and financial assistance.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families, providing compassionate and empathetic support.
  7. Advocate for patients to receive the financial assistance they need to access necessary medical treatment.
  8. Continuously update knowledge of healthcare finance regulations and policies to ensure compliance.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other team members to resolve any billing or financial concerns.
  10. Identify and report any potential billing or coding errors to the appropriate parties for resolution.
  11. Assist patients in setting up payment plans and providing guidance on managing medical expenses.
  12. Ensure all financial records and documentation are accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to streamline and improve the patient financial assistance process.
  14. Continuously seek ways to improve the patient experience and financial assistance processes.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Administration, Finance, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Healthcare Billing And Collections.

  • Proficiency In Medical Billing Software And Microsoft Office Suite.
