- Collect and accurately record patient demographic and insurance information.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with various departments to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Educate patients on their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and their families.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
- Resolve any issues or concerns related to patient access and registration.
- Stay updated on insurance policies and procedures to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Assist with training and mentoring new Patient Access Specialists.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any patient concerns or complaints.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and procedures related to patient access.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: This Position Typically Requires A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, Such As A Ged. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Handle The Administrative Tasks Required For The Job.
