  1. Coordinate and dispatch emergency services to ensure timely and effective response to emergency situations.
  2. Provide critical medical advice to callers in emergency situations.
  3. Maintain thorough and accurate records of all communications and responses.
  4. Monitor and respond to multiple emergency calls simultaneously.
  5. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
  6. Communicate effectively with emergency personnel, healthcare providers, and callers.
  7. Utilize emergency medical dispatch protocols and procedures to determine appropriate response.
  8. Stay up-to-date on emergency medical protocols and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with other emergency service providers to ensure coordinated response.
  10. Attend and participate in ongoing training and development programs.
  11. Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive information.
  12. Use sound judgment and decision-making skills to provide appropriate assistance and resources to callers.
  13. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards callers and patients.
  14. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  15. Comply with all department policies and procedures.
  16. Take initiative and work independently when needed.
  17. Remain alert and attentive during long shifts.
  18. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with communication equipment.
  19. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Current Certification As A Paramedic: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Certification As A Paramedic From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Emergency Medical Care.

  • Previous Experience In Emergency Communications: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Fast-Paced Emergency Communications Center, Such As 911 Dispatch. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations And Make Critical Decisions Under Pressure.

  • Knowledge Of Emergency Medical Protocols: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Emergency Medical Protocols And Procedures. This Includes Knowledge Of Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, And Other Emergency Medical Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Paramedic-Operator Emergency Communications, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Emergency Responders, Patients, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role.

  • Ability To Work In A Team Environment: The Candidate Should Be Able To Work Effectively In A Team Environment And Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals. This Is Crucial For Providing Efficient And Effective Emergency Medical Services.
