- Conduct patient intake and check-in procedures, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Assist ophthalmologists and other medical staff with patient appointments, including performing preliminary eye exams and tests.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting medical histories and updating information as needed.
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient use, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and safety measures, providing guidance on medication use and post-treatment instructions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in ophthalmic technology, continuously expanding knowledge and skills.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring patients feel welcomed and supported throughout their visit.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and superiors, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Ophthalmology.
Certification As An Ophthalmic Assistant Through A Recognized Program Or Organization.
Proficiency In Performing Ophthalmic Diagnostic Tests, Including Visual Acuity, Tonometry, And Visual Field Testing.
Knowledge Of Ophthalmic Equipment And Instruments, As Well As The Ability To Maintain And Calibrate Them.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Assist And Educate Patients On Eye Care And Procedures.
