  1. Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments to diagnose and treat infectious diseases.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with infectious diseases.
  3. Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate for patients' conditions.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Infectious Disease: Candidates For This Position Must Possess A Master's Degree In Nursing With A Focus On Infectious Disease. This Specialized Education Will Provide The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Diagnose And Treat Patients With Infectious Diseases.

  • Current State Licensure As A Nurse Practitioner: A Valid And Current State License As A Nurse Practitioner Is A Must-Have Qualification For This Role. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Required Standards Of Education, Training, And Competency To Practice As A Nurse Practitioner In The State.

  • Certification In Infectious Disease: Candidates Must Hold A Certification In Infectious Disease From A Nationally Recognized Certifying Body Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or The National Certification Corporation (Ncc). This Certification Demonstrates Expertise And Proficiency In The Field Of Infectious Disease.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Infectious Disease: Prisma Health Requires A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Treating Patients With Infectious Diseases. This Experience Should Be In A Clinical Setting And Should Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Manage Complex Cases And Provide Quality Care To Patients.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Crucial Qualification For This Role Is The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Build Strong Relationships With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Nurse Practitioners Must Be Able To Communicate Complex Medical Information In A Clear And Understandable Manner. Additionally, They Must Possess Empathy And Compassion To Provide Emotional Support To Patients And Their Families During Difficult Times.
