Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Focus On Geriatrics: A Nurse Practitioner In Geriatrics At Prisma Health Must Possess A Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Gerontology Or Geriatrics.

  • Current State Licensure And Certification As A Nurse Practitioner: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid And Unrestricted State License As A Nurse Practitioner And Be Certified By A Recognized Certifying Body, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Geriatric Setting: Prisma Health Requires A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Nurse Practitioner In A Geriatric Care Setting. This Experience Should Include The Diagnosis, Treatment, And Management Of Common Geriatric Conditions.

  • Strong Clinical Assessment And Diagnostic Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Clinical Assessment And Diagnostic Skills To Effectively Evaluate And Manage The Complex Medical Needs Of Older Adults. This Includes The Ability To Perform Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments And Develop Individualized Care Plans.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Nurse Practitioner In Geriatrics At Prisma Health, The Candidate Will Work Closely With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Exceptional Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Trusting Relationships And Providing High-Quality Care To Older Adults.
