Job Qualifications
  • Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Current Medical Assistant Certified (Cma) Certification From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Education: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, Along With Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program. Additional Education Or Training In A Specialized Area, Such As Pediatrics Or Geriatrics, Is Preferred.

  • Experience: Prisma Health Seeks Candidates With At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Clinical Setting. Experience With Electronic Health Records (Ehr) And Medical Terminology Is Also Preferred.

  • Interpersonal Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment. They Should Also Be Compassionate, Empathetic, And Able To Provide Excellent Patient Care.

  • Technical Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Procedures And Equipment, As Well As The Ability To Perform Basic Clinical Tasks Such As Taking Vital Signs, Administering Medications, And Performing Ekgs. Proficiency In Computer Skills And Knowledge Of Medical Software Systems Is Also Required.
