  1. Manage day-to-day operations of the microbiology laboratory, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality and accurate results by overseeing laboratory processes and procedures.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of laboratory technicians and scientists, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and success.
  4. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by implementing and enforcing laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with other departments and healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient and effective laboratory operations.
  6. Monitor laboratory performance and quality metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in microbiology to continuously improve laboratory processes and procedures.
  8. Collaborate with laboratory administration to develop and manage budgets, as well as track and report financial performance.
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  10. Participate in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of laboratory staff.
  11. Maintain inventory levels and order necessary supplies to ensure timely and accurate testing.
  12. Handle any issues or concerns that arise in the laboratory, including troubleshooting equipment and resolving technical problems.
  13. Foster a collaborative and positive work culture that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to excellence.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Microbiology, Biotechnology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Research Laboratory Setting, With A Focus On Microbiology.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Testing Procedures, Equipment, And Quality Assurance Processes.

  • Experience Managing A Team Of Laboratory Technicians And Scientists.
