  1. Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing and compounding duties.

Job Qualifications
  • Enrolled In An Accredited Doctor Of Pharmacy Program: The Inpatient Pharmacy Intern Must Be Currently Enrolled In An Accredited Doctor Of Pharmacy Program In Order To Gain Hands-On Experience And Fulfill Educational Requirements.

  • Strong Understanding Of Pharmaceuticals And Medication Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Pharmaceuticals, Including Drug Names, Dosages, And Interactions, As Well As Experience With Medication Management Systems.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Inpatient Pharmacy Intern, The Candidate Will Work Closely With Pharmacists, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals, Requiring Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate And Provide Patient Care.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment: Inpatient Pharmacy Interns May Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, Especially During Peak Hours Or Emergencies. The Candidate Should Be Able To Handle Pressure, Prioritize Tasks, And Maintain Accuracy And Attention To Detail.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws And Regulations: A Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Pharmacy Laws And Regulations Is Essential For An Inpatient Pharmacy Intern To Ensure Compliance And Patient Safety. This Includes Knowledge Of Controlled Substance Regulations, Hipaa, And Drug Storage And Handling Protocols.
