  1. Design and maintain indoor and outdoor plant displays throughout Prisma Health facilities.
  2. Utilize knowledge of plant care and maintenance to ensure the health and vitality of all plants.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to create a cohesive and visually appealing plant design plan.
  4. Implement sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices in all horticultural activities.
  5. Monitor and control plant pests and diseases to prevent infestations.
  6. Coordinate with facility staff to ensure plants are not disrupting operations or causing safety hazards.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with plant suppliers to ensure high quality and diverse plant selection.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in horticulture to continuously improve plant displays.
  9. Train and supervise team members or volunteers in horticultural tasks.
  10. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies while working with plants and equipment.
  11. Keep accurate records of plant care schedules, inventory, and expenses.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff about the benefits of horticulture in healthcare settings.
  13. Participate in events and activities to promote the healing benefits of plants to the community.
  14. Continuously assess and improve plant displays to create a calming and welcoming atmosphere for patients and staff.
  15. Adhere to the mission and values of Prisma Health in all horticultural activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Advanced Degree In Horticulture Or Related Field

  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Plant Cultivation, Soil Management, And Pest Control

  • Strong Organizational And Problem-Solving Skills

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Abilities

  • Previous Experience Working In A Medical Or Healthcare Setting Preferred
