- Perform electrophysiology procedures in a safe and effective manner.
- Operate and maintain complex equipment used in EP procedures.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during EP procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes or emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families on EP procedures and post-procedure care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed.
- Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in electrophysiology technology.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Train and mentor new EP technologists as needed.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and order new supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the EP Lab Manager or other supervisory personnel.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Related Field, Such As Nursing Or Radiologic Technology
Registered Electrophysiology Technologist (R.e.p.t.) Certification From Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Cci)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Electrophysiology Lab, Preferably In A Hospital Setting
Experience With Ep Equipment And Procedures, Including Cardiac Mapping And Ablation
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
