
Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist

- Perform electrophysiology procedures including but not limited to cardiac ablations, cardioversions, and implantation of devices.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor patient's vital signs and respond to any changes or complications during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care for patients.
- Assist with patient education and preparation for procedures.
- Document all procedures and patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for patients and staff.
- Stay up-to-date on new technologies and techniques in the field of electrophysiology.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide excellent patient care and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain necessary certifications and licenses required for the role.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Adhere to Prisma Health's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of work.
Bachelor's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or A Related Field.
Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (Ceps) Certification From The International Board Of Heart Rhythm Examiners (Ibhre).
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In An Electrophysiology Lab Or Related Setting.
Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Various Ep Equipment And Recording Systems.
Strong Understanding Of Cardiac Electrophysiology Principles And Procedures, Including Ablation Techniques And Device Implantation.
