  1. Conduct and perform echocardiograms on patients in an ambulatory setting.
  2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  3. Follow established protocols and procedures for performing echocardiograms.
  4. Evaluate and interpret images to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care and treatment.
  6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  7. Educate patients and their families on the echocardiogram procedure and answer any questions or concerns.
  8. Monitor and document patient vital signs before, during, and after the procedure.
  9. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the echocardiogram.
  10. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
  11. Keep up-to-date with new techniques and technology in the field of echocardiography.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  14. Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
  15. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  16. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
  17. Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures.
  18. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  19. Act as a patient advocate and promote patient-centered care.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Program In Diagnostic Medical Sonography, With A Focus On Echocardiography.

  • Current Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Echocardiograms In An Ambulatory Or Outpatient Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Echocardiography Techniques And Equipment, Including 2D, M-Mode, And Doppler Imaging.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Physicians And Other Healthcare Professionals.
