- Conduct initial assessments and evaluations of patients to determine their mental health needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs and goals.
- Provide counseling and therapy services to patients, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Monitor and track patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of mental health and counseling.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for patients, connecting them with community resources and support services as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and coordinate care.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of counseling services.

Master's Degree In Counseling Or Related Field: A Counseling Associate At Prisma Health Must Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Counseling Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Lpca Licensure: The Candidate Must Be A Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (Lpca) In The State Of South Carolina Or Be Eligible For Licensure Within 6 Months Of Hire.
Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Counseling Setting, Preferably With A Focus On Internal Medicine.
Knowledge Of Mental Health Issues In The Medical Setting: The Counseling Associate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Unique Mental Health Challenges That Patients With Chronic Or Acute Medical Conditions May Face.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: Prisma Health Values Teamwork And Collaboration Among Healthcare Professionals. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Effectively With Other Members Of The Healthcare Team.
