  1. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete clinical documentation in patient records.
  2. Conduct regular audits of patient records to identify any gaps or discrepancies in documentation.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to improve documentation processes and promote quality patient care.
  4. Communicate with healthcare providers to educate and train on best practices for clinical documentation.
  5. Serve as a resource for clinical staff regarding documentation guidelines and requirements.
  6. Monitor and report on documentation metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement.
  7. Work closely with coding and billing teams to ensure proper reimbursement for services rendered.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to clinical documentation.
  9. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and address documentation-related issues.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in handling patient information.
  11. Collaborate with IT department to ensure electronic health records accurately reflect clinical documentation.
  12. Provide support and training to new employees on clinical documentation processes and expectations.
  13. Identify and escalate any potential compliance issues related to clinical documentation.
  14. Assist with quality improvement initiatives and data analysis related to clinical documentation.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Healthcare-Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Clinical Documentation Integrity, Medical Coding, Or Healthcare Compliance.

  • Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (Ccds) Certification Preferred.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Coding Guidelines, Documentation Requirements, And Healthcare Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Healthcare Providers And Departments.
