Prisma Health is seeking a Clinical Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients.   1. Develop and implement treatment plans for a diverse group of athletes, taking into consideration their individual needs and injuries.
  2. Provide on-site care for athletes during practices, games, and events, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  3. Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to athlete care.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each athlete, documenting injuries, treatments, and progress.
  5. Educate athletes and coaches on injury prevention techniques and provide guidance on proper training and conditioning methods.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in sports medicine to continuously improve the quality of care provided.
  7. Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure clear understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, adjusting as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes for athletes.
  9. Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards in the practice of athletic training.
  10. Serve as an advocate for the athletic training profession and promote the value of athletic training services to the community.
  11. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to maintain certification and enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including proper maintenance and sanitation of equipment and treatment areas.
  13. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Prisma Health and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  14. Serve as a positive and professional representative of Prisma Health at all times, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Prisma Health and strive to provide the highest level of care to every patient.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Clinical Certified Athletic Trainer Position At Prisma Health. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation Of Knowledge And Skills In The Field Of Athletic Training.

  • National Athletic Trainers' Association (Nata) Certification: Prisma Health Requires Candidates For Clinical Certified Athletic Trainer Positions To Hold Current Certification From The Nata. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Professional Standards And Competencies Set By The Nata.

  • State Licensure: A Valid State License To Practice As An Athletic Trainer Is Also Typically Required For A Clinical Certified Athletic Trainer Role At Prisma Health. This Ensures That The Candidate Meets The State's Requirements For Practicing As An Athletic Trainer And Is Qualified To Provide Healthcare Services To Athletes.
