- Assist physicians in providing exceptional patient care in the Cardiology department.
- Utilize knowledge and skills as a Certified Medical Assistant to perform various clinical tasks, including taking vitals, recording medical histories, and assisting with procedures.
- Ensure all medical equipment is properly sterilized and maintained for patient safety.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including updating medical charts and documenting patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on preventative care and disease management techniques.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and research in the field of cardiology to provide the best possible care to patients.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Cma Must Have Completed An Accredited Program Which Includes Coursework In Medical Terminology, Anatomy And Physiology, And Clinical Procedures Specific To Cardiology.
Certification As A Medical Assistant: The Candidate Must Possess A Current Certification From A Recognized Credentialing Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).
Experience In A Cardiology Setting: Prisma Health Is Seeking A Cma With Prior Experience In A Cardiology Practice Or Department. This Experience Should Include Knowledge And Proficiency In Performing Ekgs, Stress Tests, And Other Cardiology-Specific Procedures.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Medical Assistant In A Cardiology Setting, The Candidate Must Have A Current Bls Certification To Respond To Emergency Situations. This Certification Must Be From An Approved Provider Such As The American Heart Association.
Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr): Prisma Health Utilizes Electronic Health Records For Patient Care. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With An Ehr System And Be Proficient In Entering And Retrieving Patient Information.
