- Oversee and supervise the daily operations of the Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Lab.
- Ensure the highest level of patient care and service is provided at all times.
- Lead and motivate a team of healthcare professionals to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures for the lab.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
- Coordinate and schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked lab environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Respond to patient and staff concerns, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in hiring, training, and orienting new staff members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations for promotions, bonuses, and disciplinary actions.
- Stay updated on advancements and changes in the field of gastroenterology and make recommendations for improvement.
- Promote a positive and professional work culture within the lab.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the quality of care and efficiency of the lab.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and record-keeping.
- Participate in budget planning and monitor expenses to ensure financial goals are met.
- Ensure compliance with infection control measures and maintain a safe working environment for all staff and patients.
- Serve as a role model for compassionate patient care and excellent customer service.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and trainings as required by the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For The Anm Position At Prisma Health. This Ensures A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Practices, As Well As Leadership And Management Skills.
Registered Nurse (Rn) License: All Applicants For The Anm Position Must Hold A Current And Active Rn License. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Educational And Professional Requirements To Practice As A Nurse In The State Of South Carolina.
Previous Management Experience: Candidates For The Anm Position Should Have Previous Experience In A Management Or Leadership Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Effectively Oversee And Supervise A Team.
Specialized Knowledge In Gastrointestinal (Gi) Care: Prisma Health's Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Lab Specializes In The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Gi Conditions. As Such, The Ideal Candidate For The Anm Position Should Have Specialized Knowledge And Experience In This Area.
