The Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Lab at Prisma Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to join our dynamic team.   1. Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff in the Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Lab.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of the lab, including scheduling, staffing, and resource management.
  3. Ensure that all lab protocols and procedures are followed according to standards and guidelines.
  4. Train, mentor, and develop nursing staff to maintain a high level of competency and professionalism.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement improved patient care strategies.
  6. Monitor patient care and outcomes, making adjustments and improvements as needed.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lab activities, including patient data and inventory.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide excellent customer service.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall performance of the lab.
  10. Stay up-to-date with advancements in gastrointestinal nursing and incorporate new practices into lab operations.
  11. Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  12. Handle any conflicts or issues within the lab, working to resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
  13. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  14. Represent the lab in meetings and committees as needed.
  15. Support a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field: Anms In A Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Lab At Prisma Health Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field. This Educational Qualification Ensures That The Anm Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Can Effectively Manage And Coordinate The Care Of Patients.

  • Active Rn License In The State Of South Carolina: Anms At Prisma Health Must Hold An Active Rn License In The State Of South Carolina. This License Ensures That The Anm Is Qualified To Practice Nursing In The State And Has Met All The Necessary Requirements For Licensure.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Nursing Experience: Anms In A Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Lab Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Nursing Experience. This Experience Allows The Anm To Have A Strong Clinical Background And Knowledge Of The Procedures And Protocols Involved In Diagnosing And Treating Gastrointestinal Conditions.

  • Previous Leadership Or Management Experience: Anms At Prisma Health Should Have Previous Leadership Or Management Experience. This Experience Demonstrates The Anm's Ability To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team, Make Decisions, And Handle Various Administrative Tasks.

  • Knowledge Of Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Procedures And Equipment: Anms In This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Procedures And Equipment. This Includes Knowledge Of Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, And Other Diagnostic Tests, As Well As The Ability To Troubleshoot And Maintain Equipment Used In The Lab.
