
Ambulatory Coder

- Accurately document and code medical procedures in a timely manner
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records
- Stay up-to-date on medical coding guidelines and regulations
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify and obtain necessary information for coding
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with coding to management
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Maintain a high level of productivity while adhering to quality standards
- Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and handle a high volume of records
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve coding processes and efficiency
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team dynamic within the coding department
- Represent Prisma Health with professionalism and integrity in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification From The American Academy Of Professional Coders (Aapc)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Coding Experience In A Healthcare Setting
Proficiency In Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs Coding Systems
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy And Physiology, And Disease Processes
Familiarity With Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems And Coding Software
