  1. Oversee the operations of the Special Investigative Unit (SIU) and ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations related to healthcare fraud.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the SIU to effectively identify, investigate, and prevent potential cases of fraud, waste, and abuse within the healthcare system.
  3. Lead and supervise a team of investigators and analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and thorough investigations.
  4. Conduct thorough and objective investigations into allegations of healthcare fraud, including reviewing documents, conducting interviews, and analyzing data.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of investigations, findings, and outcomes, and provide regular reports to management and external agencies.
  6. Collaborate with various departments and external agencies, such as law enforcement, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies, to share information and coordinate efforts in investigating potential cases of fraud.
  7. Stay updated on current trends and developments in healthcare fraud and adjust investigative strategies accordingly.
  8. Identify and implement training opportunities for staff and providers on fraud awareness and prevention.
  9. Serve as a liaison between the organization and external agencies, representing the organization's interests in investigations and legal proceedings.
  10. Uphold the organization's code of ethics and promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior within the healthcare system.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Fraud Investigations Or Working In A Special Investigative Unit.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal And State Laws Related To Healthcare Fraud And Abuse.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Gather And Interpret Data.
