- Provide timely and effective care to patients with urgent medical needs.
- Assess and triage patients upon arrival to determine the urgency of their condition.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient's vital signs and response to treatments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Keep current with advances in nursing practices and procedures.
- Handle emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality care.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments and ordering supplies.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Candidate For An Rn - Urgent Care Position At Presbyterian Healthcare Services Must Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Current Rn License: The Candidate Must Hold A Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience: Presbyterian Healthcare Services Requires Candidates To Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience, Preferably In An Urgent Care Setting.
Bls And Acls Certifications: The Candidate Must Have Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications.
Strong Critical Thinking And Decision-Making Skills: As An Rn In Urgent Care, The Candidate Must Be Able To Make Quick And Effective Decisions In High-Pressure Situations. Strong Critical Thinking And Decision-Making Skills Are Essential For This Role.
