  1. Provide top-notch patient care: The main responsibility of the Registered Nurse will be to provide high-quality care to patients at the Presbyterian Now-ABQ 24/7 ED/UC Menaul location. This includes performing medical procedures, administering medication, and monitoring patient progress.
  2. Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment: The RN will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, adapting to the needs of patients and the facility.
  3. Uphold Presbyterian Healthcare Services' mission: As a representative of Presbyterian Healthcare Services, the Registered Nurse will be responsible for upholding the organization's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services to the community.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare team: The RN will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, technicians, and other nurses, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  5. Assess and document patient information: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for accurately assessing and documenting patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and any changes in condition.
  6. Administer medication and treatments: The RN will be responsible for administering medication and treatments to patients according to prescribed orders from doctors.
  7. Monitor patient progress: It will be the responsibility of the Registered Nurse to monitor and track patient progress, including vital signs, response to treatment, and any changes in condition.
  8. Educate patients and families: The RN will also be responsible for educating patients and their families on their condition, treatment plan, and any necessary follow-up care.
  9. Maintain a safe and clean environment: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, following infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry standards: The RN will be expected to stay current on industry standards, best practices, and any changes in medical procedures or protocols.
  11. Meet all qualifications and certifications: The Registered Nurse must meet all necessary qualifications and maintain required certifications to perform their job duties effectively.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Higher Education: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For The Rn Position At Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Higher Education, Such As A Master's Degree, May Also Be Preferred.

  • Active Rn License In State Of New Mexico: The Candidate Must Possess An Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse License In The State Of New Mexico. This Is A Non-Negotiable Requirement For The Position.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Emergency And Urgent Care: Presbyterian Healthcare Services Is Seeking Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Fast-Paced Emergency Or Urgent Care Setting. This Experience Is Essential For Providing Quality Care In The 24/7 Ed/Uc Menaul Department.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Must Possess Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications. These Certifications Demonstrate Proficiency In Emergency Care And Are Required For The Position.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: The Job At Presbyterian Healthcare Services Requires The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members In A High-Stress Environment. Critical Thinking Skills Are Also Essential For Making Quick And Accurate Decisions In Emergency Situations.
