
Registered Nurse PRN - Pre Op
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse PRN to join our dynamic team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. - Provide compassionate and exceptional patient care to individuals before their surgical procedures.
- Utilize strong background in pre-operative care to properly assess and prepare patients for surgery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and instructions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address any potential complications or concerns.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and protocols established by the healthcare facility.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Provide support and assistance to other healthcare team members as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in pre-operative care.
- Flexibly work on a per diem basis, adapting to changing schedules and patient needs.

Valid Rn License: A Registered Nurse Prn - Pre Op Must Hold A Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Practice.
Previous Pre-Operative Experience: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Pre-Operative Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Acls And Pals Certification: The Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations Is Critical For A Pre Op Rn, So Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Certifications Are Required.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Prn Pre Op Rn, You Will Be Working With A Variety Of Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals, So Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential.
Flexibility And Availability: Prn (As Needed) Nurses Are Expected To Be Available To Work On Short Notice And Have A Flexible Schedule To Cover Shifts As Needed, Including Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays.
