- Efficiently and accurately schedule surgical procedures for patients in the Vascular Surgery department.
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure all necessary resources and equipment are available for scheduled surgeries.
- Communicate with patients and their families to provide information and instructions regarding their scheduled surgeries.
- Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all scheduling tasks.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all scheduled surgeries and related information.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and other third-party entities to obtain necessary authorizations and approvals for surgical procedures.
- Continuously monitor and assess the surgical schedule to identify and address any potential conflicts or issues.
- Proactively problem-solve and make adjustments to the surgical schedule as needed to ensure optimal efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding their scheduled surgeries.
- Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines while performing scheduling duties.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions to contribute ideas and suggestions for improving surgical scheduling processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in surgical scheduling practices to continuously improve performance and efficiency in the role.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Surgical Scheduling, Preferably In A Vascular Surgery Setting.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Insurance Requirements Related To Vascular Surgery.
Proficient Computer Skills, Including Experience With Scheduling Software And Electronic Medical Records Systems.
Ability To Multitask And Prioritize In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
