High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician At An Outpatient Specialty Clinic Should Have At Least A High School Diploma Or Ged In Order To Understand And Perform Basic Math And Science Calculations.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht): Candidates Should Hold A Valid Certification From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Experience In Outpatient Pharmacy: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In An Outpatient Pharmacy Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Medication Management And Inventory Control.
Knowledge Of Specialty Medications: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Specialty Medications And Their Unique Storage, Handling, And Administration Requirements.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Pharmacy Technician, Strong Communication Skills Are Essential In Order To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Team Members. This Includes The Ability To Explain Medication Instructions And Provide Excellent Customer Service.
