
Patient Visit Specialist - Vascular Surgery

- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for the Vascular Surgery department.
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, verifying necessary information and documents.
- Collect and update patient medical and personal information in electronic health records.
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and post-operative care instructions.
- Prepare and maintain patient exam rooms, ensuring they are clean and properly stocked.
- Assist with patient transportation and escorts as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments and facilities for necessary patient referrals.
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely billing of services.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities.
- Uphold the mission, values, and standards of Presbyterian Healthcare Services at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Administrative Role In A Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Experience With Electronic Medical Records Systems
Understanding Of Insurance Verification And Authorization Processes
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
