  1. Review and process patient billing information in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
  3. Utilize billing and coding knowledge to accurately assign charges and codes to patient accounts.
  4. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to billing and coding.
  5. Work closely with other team members to identify and resolve any billing or coding errors.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering billing-related questions and concerns.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with care.
  8. Keep up-to-date with changes in billing and coding regulations and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to improve billing processes and procedures.
  10. Assist with training and mentoring new team members.
  11. Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve complex billing issues.
  12. Maintain accurate and organized billing records.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Medical Billing And Coding: A Patient Financial Billing Specialist Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Insurance Plans, And Billing And Coding Processes To Accurately Process Patient Claims.

  • Attention To Detail: This Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy In Billing And Coding, As Well As Identifying And Resolving Any Discrepancies Or Errors.

  • Understanding Of Insurance Policies And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Insurance Policies And Regulations, Including Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Insurance Plans, To Ensure Compliance And Maximize Reimbursements.

  • Experience With Healthcare Billing Software: Proficiency In Using Healthcare Billing Software, Such As Epic Or Cerner, Is Essential For Efficiently Processing Patient Claims And Managing Accounts.

  • Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills: Patient Financial Billing Specialists Must Have Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills To Interact With Patients, Insurance Companies, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Resolve Billing Inquiries And Issues.
