
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant- Neurosurgery

- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with neurological disorders.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Perform diagnostic procedures and order appropriate tests and imaging studies.
- Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on their condition and treatment options.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in neurosurgery treatments and techniques.
- Provide support and guidance to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to ethical principles.

Advanced Degree: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant Studies With A Specialization In Neurosurgery Is Required For This Position.
State Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Current And Active State License As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In The State Where They Will Be Practicing.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In Neurosurgery By The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc), The American Academy Of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (Aanpcb), Or The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Possess A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience In Neurosurgery, Preferably In An Acute Care Or Hospital Setting.
Bls And Acls Certification: Candidates Must Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications From The American Heart Association (Aha).
