- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Register patients by collecting necessary personal and medical information.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar for the Physical Therapy team.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly and courteously.
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with any insurance-related inquiries.
- Collect and process payments for services rendered.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times.
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapy team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and healthcare professionals as needed.
- Attend training sessions and stay updated on company policies and procedures.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning.
- Uphold the mission, values, and standards of Presbyterian Healthcare Services in all interactions with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Medical Receptionist - Physical Therapy Position At Presbyterian Healthcare Services Would Be A High School Diploma Or Ged. This Demonstrates Basic Competency In Language And Math Skills, As Well As The Ability To Follow Instructions.
Previous Experience In A Medical Setting: Presbyterian Healthcare Services May Prefer A Candidate With Previous Experience In A Medical Setting, Especially In A Physical Therapy Office. This Would Indicate An Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Familiarity With Patient Paperwork And Scheduling, And Experience With Insurance Verification And Billing Procedures.
