
Medical Receptionist - General Surgery

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of appointments.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments from patients.
- Maintain a neat and organized reception area.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and follow HIPAA guidelines.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Medical Receptionist Position At Presbyterian Healthcare Services Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates Basic Knowledge And Competency In Reading, Writing, And Basic Math Skills.
Medical Office Experience: Prior Experience In A Medical Office Setting, Preferably In A Surgical Department, Is Highly Preferred For This Role. Candidates With Experience In Scheduling Appointments, Handling Patient Inquiries, And Maintaining Medical Records Will Be Considered As Strong Candidates.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Necessary For A Medical Receptionist At Presbyterian Healthcare Services. This Includes The Ability To Accurately Document And Communicate Information Related To General Surgery Procedures, Diagnoses, And Treatments.
