
Maintenance Technician - Refrigeration

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems, including but not limited to compressors, evaporators, condensers, and refrigerant lines.
- Conduct regular inspections of refrigeration equipment to identify and address any potential issues before they become major problems.
- Respond promptly to any refrigeration system breakdowns or malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on refrigeration systems.
- Communicate with other departments and staff to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruption to patient care.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Monitor and report on the performance of refrigeration systems, identifying and implementing improvements as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in refrigeration technology to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and staff to provide support and assistance as needed.
- Adhere to Presbyterian Healthcare Services' policies and procedures, including infection control and sanitation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle refrigerants in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Attend training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to refrigeration maintenance.
- Assist with budget planning and procurement of supplies and equipment needed for refrigeration maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or supervisor.
Relevant Education Or Certification: A Maintenance Technician - Refrigeration Should Have A Degree Or Certification In Refrigeration Technology, Hvac, Or A Related Field.
Experience In Troubleshooting And Repairing Refrigeration Systems: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Maintaining, Troubleshooting, And Repairing Various Types Of Refrigeration Systems.
Knowledge Of Refrigeration Safety Protocols: Applicants Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Regulations Related To Refrigeration Systems, Including Handling Of Refrigerants And Electrical Safety.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Critical Thinking Skills And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Solve Complex Problems Related To Refrigeration Systems.
Physical Fitness And Ability To Work In Various Environments: This Role May Require Working In Confined Spaces, Extreme Temperatures, And Lifting Heavy Equipment, So Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Work In These Conditions.
