  1. Provide immediate and specialized care to individuals experiencing psychiatric emergencies.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess and develop treatment plans for patients in the Psychiatric Emergency Service.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the Behavioral Health department and the Emergency department, communicating effectively and efficiently to ensure proper care and treatment for patients.
  4. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health needs and make appropriate referrals for further treatment if necessary.
  5. Utilize evidence-based practices and techniques to provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients.
  6. Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  7. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current behavioral health trends, treatments, and regulations.
  9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards while maintaining confidentiality and respect for patients' rights.
  10. Collaborate with community resources and agencies to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  11. Participate in trainings and meetings to enhance clinical skills and contribute to the overall success of the Behavioral Health department.
  12. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
  13. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Social Work Or Counseling From An Accredited University.

  • Current Lcsw Or Lpcc Licensure In The State Of New Mexico.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Behavioral Health Setting, Preferably In A Psychiatric Emergency Service.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Crisis Intervention Techniques And Ability To De-Escalate High-Stress Situations.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work With A Multidisciplinary Team And Community Partners.
