Infection Preventionist

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
2. Monitor and evaluate infection control practices and systems for effectiveness and compliance.
3. Oversee the implementation of infection control practices and protocols throughout the healthcare setting.
4. Investigate and analyze reported infections and outbreaks.
5. Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure the proper identification, prevention, and control of infections.
6. Educate healthcare staff on proper infection control techniques and protocols.
7. Develop and deliver educational materials for patients and visitors on infection prevention and control.
8. Develop and monitor infection control programs and establish strategies to address emerging infectious diseases and hazards.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new trends in infection prevention and control.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
