We are currently seeking an experienced Epic Iris Database Administrator to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our Epic electronic health record system.   1. Manage and maintain the Epic Iris database system to ensure efficient and accurate data storage and retrieval.
  2. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to patient care.
  3. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate the Epic Iris database with other systems and applications.
  4. Develop and implement data security protocols and procedures to protect patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  5. Create and maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, updates, and maintenance procedures.
  6. Perform regular database audits to identify and resolve any data integrity issues.
  7. Train and support end-users on the proper use and navigation of the Epic Iris database system.
  8. Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in database technology, and make recommendations for system enhancements.
  9. Participate in testing and implementing new updates and features to the Epic Iris database system.
  10. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the Epic Iris database.
  11. Communicate and coordinate with external vendors for database support and maintenance.
  12. Serve as a subject matter expert for the Epic Iris database system and provide technical support to other team members as needed.
  13. Contribute to the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and procedures for the Epic Iris database.
  14. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the performance of the Epic Iris database to ensure optimal functionality and user satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As A Database Administrator, Preferably With Experience In Epic Iris.

  • Certification In Epic Iris Database Administration.

  • Strong Understanding Of Database Design And Architecture, As Well As Sql Programming.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Database Issues Quickly And Efficiently.
