This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our coding practices, as well as providing training and support to our providers.   1. Conduct audits of CPT coding practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Develop and implement training programs for providers on proper CPT coding guidelines and documentation requirements.
  3. Stay updated on changes in CPT coding guidelines and communicate any updates to providers and coding staff.
  4. Collaborate with coding and billing departments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  5. Provide ongoing support and education to providers on coding and documentation best practices.
  6. Analyze coding and billing data to identify patterns and trends, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  7. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and assist in developing action plans for improvement.
  8. Serve as a resource for providers and coding staff for questions and concerns related to CPT coding.
  9. Monitor and report on coding compliance metrics to ensure adherence to organizational goals and standards.
  10. Participate in coding and compliance committee meetings to provide expertise and insights on CPT coding practices.
  11. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, laws, and guidelines related to CPT coding.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and coding for accurate and timely reimbursement.
  13. Act as a liaison between providers and coding/billing departments to address any coding-related issues.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to CPT coding and documentation.
  15. Uphold the organization's mission, values, and standards of ethics in all job-related activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Cpt Coding And Medical Billing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Current Cpt Coding System And Medical Billing Practices, Including The Latest Updates And Changes.

  • Certification In Medical Coding: A Certification In Medical Coding Such As Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Is Highly Preferred. This Showcases The Candidate's Proficiency In Cpt Coding And Medical Billing.

  • Experience In Auditing And Compliance: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Auditing And Compliance In A Healthcare Setting. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Industry Regulations And Guidelines Related To Cpt Coding And Billing.

  • Excellent Communication And Training Skills: As A Cpt Auditor And Provider Trainer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Educating And Training Medical Providers On Cpt Coding And Billing. Strong Communication And Training Skills Are Essential For Effectively Conveying Complex Information To Different Audiences.

  • Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills: Cpt Coding And Billing Require A High Level Of Attention To Detail And Accuracy. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Identify And Resolve Any Coding Discrepancies Or Errors During Audits And Training Sessions.
