- Develop and implement nutrition education programs for the community, including workshops, seminars, and cooking demonstrations.
- Collaborate with community organizations, schools, and healthcare providers to promote healthy eating habits and improve overall nutrition in the community.
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify nutritional needs of individuals and groups in the community.
- Create and distribute educational materials on nutrition and healthy eating to target populations.
- Provide individualized nutrition counseling and support to community members, including those with specific health conditions.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in nutrition to continuously improve program offerings and materials.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities and participant progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to address nutrition-related health concerns in the community.
- Participate in community events and health fairs to promote nutrition and raise awareness of available resources.
- Serve as a resource for community members seeking nutrition information and support.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.
- Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA regulations when working with individuals and their personal health information.
- Attend regular meetings and trainings to stay informed about community needs and strategies for addressing them.
- Represent Presbyterian Healthcare Services in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Nutrition Counseling And Education
Knowledge Of Community Nutrition Programs And Resources
Experience Working With Diverse Populations And Ability To Tailor Nutrition Education And Counseling To Meet Their Specific Needs.
