Job Description

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is looking for an experienced Cardiac Medical Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing compassionate, quality care to our patients. The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is committed to providing the best possible patient care.The Cardiac Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Cardiologist with patient care, administrative tasks, and patient education. The Medical Assistant must be able to effectively and efficiently manage various tasks while providing excellent customer service. The individual must be comfortable working with cardiac patients and their families and have an understanding of current medical procedures. The successful candidate must have a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting. An Associate's degree or certification in Medical Assisting is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and excellent computer skills. The Medical Assistant must also possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Cardiologist with patient care, administrative tasks, and patient education.
  2. Effectively and efficiently manage various tasks while providing excellent customer service.
  3. Work with cardiac patients and their families and have an understanding of current medical procedures.
  4. Use electronic medical records (EMR) and demonstrate excellent computer skills.
  5. Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  7. Ensure patient confidentiality.
  8. Collect patient medical histories and vital signs.
  9. Administer medications and vaccinations according to physician instructions.
  10. Prepare and administer diagnostic tests and treatments.
