
Behavioral Health Technician
Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team! As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care services as well as support services to patients in our Behavioral Health Department. The ideal candidate for this position is a compassionate individual who is committed to providing exceptional care and service to our patients. The required qualifications for this role include an Associate's Degree in Behavioral Science or a related field, a minimum of one year of experience working with patients in a behavioral health setting, and current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care services in Behavioral Health Department, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and reinforcing treatment plans.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort by providing encouragement, emotional support, and assistance with daily activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians to promote patient progress and ensure continuity of care.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient treatment plans.
- Participate in staff meetings and team-building activities to ensure positive work atmosphere and quality patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the admission and discharge of patients.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on community resources and other services available.
