
Anesthesia Technician - Operating Room

- Assist Anesthesiologists: As an Anesthesia Technician, your main responsibility will be to assist the anesthesiologists in delivering safe and effective anesthesia care to our patients. This includes preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and providing support during procedures.
- Ensure Patient Safety: Patient safety is our top priority at Presbyterian Healthcare Services, and as an Anesthesia Technician, it will be your responsibility to ensure that all necessary safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain Equipment: You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of all anesthesia equipment in the operating room. This includes regular checks, cleaning, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Communicate Effectively: Effective communication is essential in any healthcare setting, and as an Anesthesia Technician, you will be expected to communicate clearly and effectively with the anesthesiologists, surgical team, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor Patients: During procedures, you will be responsible for closely monitoring patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, and alerting the anesthesiologist of any changes or concerns.
- Prepare Operating Room: Before each procedure, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room by setting up the necessary equipment, supplies, and medications. You will also be responsible for cleaning and restocking the room after each procedure.
- Follow Protocols and Procedures: It is crucial to follow all protocols and procedures for administering anesthesia to ensure patient safety and comfort. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will be expected to follow these protocols diligently.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: As a member of the operating room team, you will be expected to collaborate and work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for our patients.
- Maintain Records: Accurate record-keeping is essential in the healthcare industry, and as an Anesthesia Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining patient records, documenting procedures, and updating patient information as needed
Certification: A Valid Certification As An Anesthesia Technician From A Recognized Institution Or Organization Is Required For This Position.
Education: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required. Candidates With A Degree In A Related Field, Such As Healthcare Administration Or Biology, Will Be Given Preference.
Experience: At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Anesthesia Technician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of Operating Room Procedures: Candidates Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Operating Room Procedures, Including Sterilization Techniques, Equipment Setup, And Patient Preparation.
Team Player: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment. They Should Also Be Able To Handle High-Pressure Situations And Work Efficiently Under Tight Deadlines.
