  1. Manage the ambulance revenue cycle process for Presbyterian Healthcare Services, including billing, coding, and collections.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies and government payers.
  3. Utilize knowledge of healthcare reimbursement rules and regulations to maximize revenue for ambulance services.
  4. Review and analyze billing and coding data to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and clinical teams, to ensure proper documentation and coding for accurate billing.
  6. Monitor and track outstanding claims to ensure timely payment and follow-up on any denied or rejected claims.
  7. Stay updated on changes in healthcare billing and coding regulations to ensure compliance and make recommendations for process improvements.
  8. Maintain accurate and complete records of all billing and coding activities.
  9. Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to resolve any billing or payment issues.
  10. Train and educate staff on billing and coding procedures and updates.
  11. Continuously monitor and improve revenue cycle performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in handling sensitive patient information.
  13. Provide excellent customer service to patients and stakeholders, addressing any questions or concerns related to ambulance billing and coding.
  14. Act as a liaison between the ambulance services department and other departments within the organization.
  15. Participate in meetings and trainings to stay informed on company policies, procedures, and goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Medical Billing And Coding, Preferably In An Ambulance Service Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Coding Systems, Including Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs.

  • Proficient In Using Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems And Medical Billing Software.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Insurance Companies.

  • Understanding Of Healthcare Compliance Regulations And Insurance Billing Guidelines, Such As Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Insurance.
