  1. Manage the shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  2. Maintain inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  3. Prepare and pack products for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
  4. Receive and inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy.
  5. Accurately record all shipping and receiving transactions in the company's inventory management system.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and production, to ensure smooth and efficient order fulfillment.
  7. Troubleshoot any issues or discrepancies with shipments and work to resolve them in a timely manner.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling and storing products.
  10. Train and mentor new employees on shipping and receiving procedures and best practices.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any issues or concerns.
  12. Continuously look for ways to improve shipping and receiving processes and make recommendations for efficiency and cost savings.
  13. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to shipping and receiving.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Is Typically Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Understanding Of Fundamental Skills Such As Reading, Writing, And Math.

  • Experience In Shipping And Receiving: Previous Experience In A Shipping And Receiving Role Is Highly Preferred. This Includes Knowledge Of Shipping And Receiving Procedures, Handling And Storing Materials, And Operating Equipment Such As Forklifts And Pallet Jacks.

  • Attention To Detail: Shipping And Receiving Technicians Must Pay Close Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy In Receiving And Shipping Materials. This Includes Checking For Order Accuracy, Verifying Product Codes And Quantities, And Properly Labeling And Documenting Shipments.

  • Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills: The Ability To Multitask, Prioritize Tasks, And Meet Deadlines Is Crucial For A Shipping And Receiving Technician. They Must Be Able To Effectively Manage Inventory, Process Orders, And Coordinate Shipments In A Timely And Efficient Manner.

  • Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: This Role May Involve Physical Labor, Including Lifting And Moving Heavy Objects. Candidates Should Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job And Have The Ability To Safely Operate Equipment And Machinery.
