Job Description

Praxair is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Plant Layout & Piping Designer to join our engineering team. We're looking for an individual with a good eye for detail and a strong understanding of plant layout and piping design principles. The ideal candidate should have a technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience with demonstrated experience in plant layout & piping design. This individual should also have good communication and problem solving skills and a customer-oriented approach to their work. Responsibilities:

  1. Design plant layouts and piping systems for Praxair’s engineering projects.
  2. Generate detailed drawings for plant layout & piping systems using computer-aided design software.
  3. Prepare construction documents such as bills of materials, installation instructions, and shop drawings.
  4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of projects.
  5. Monitor changes in standards and regulations related to plant layout & piping design and ensure compliance.
  6. Identify potential problems and develop cost-effective solutions.
  7. Analyze existing systems and recommend modifications or upgrades for improved performance.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in plant layout & piping design.
  9. Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
  10. Participate in safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
