  1. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations: The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for staying up-to-date on all tax laws and regulations and ensuring that the company is in compliance with them.
  2. Identify opportunities for tax savings: The Senior Tax Analyst will use their expertise and knowledge of tax principles to identify potential tax savings opportunities for the company.
  3. Conduct tax research and analysis: This role will require the Senior Tax Analyst to conduct thorough research and analysis on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to management.
  4. Prepare and review tax returns: The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, including federal, state, and local tax returns.
  5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders: This position will require the Senior Tax Analyst to work closely with various departments within the company, as well as outside tax advisors, to gather necessary information and ensure accurate tax reporting.
  6. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations: The Senior Tax Analyst will stay informed about any changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure that the company is compliant with these changes.
  7. Advise on tax implications of business decisions: The Senior Tax Analyst will provide guidance to management on the tax implications of business decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions, investments, and other transactions.
  8. Develop and maintain tax policies and procedures: This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining tax policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in tax reporting.
  9. Conduct tax audits and respond to inquiries: The Senior Tax Analyst will be the main point of contact for tax audits and will be responsible for responding to any tax inquiries from regulatory agencies.
  10. Train and mentor junior tax team members: This position may require the Senior Tax Analyst to train and mentor junior tax team members, providing guidance and support on complex tax issues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Tax Analysis And Compliance, Preferably In A Financial Institution Or Large Corporate Environment

  • Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Tax Laws And Regulations

  • Professional Certification Such As Cpa Or Cfa

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret And Communicate Complex Tax Information To Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization.
