- Manage and monitor the mainframe environment to ensure smooth and efficient operations for our clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or incidents related to the mainframe systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to optimize the performance of the mainframe environment.
- Collaborate with other technology teams to implement new mainframe solutions and enhancements.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in mainframe technology.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for the mainframe environment.
- Provide timely and effective communication to clients regarding any mainframe-related updates or changes.
- Monitor system security and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery tests to ensure data integrity and system availability.
- Train and mentor other team members on mainframe systems and procedures.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues or areas for improvement within the mainframe environment.
- Provide after-hours support and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and make recommendations for improvements to the mainframe environment.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Mainframe Systems Administration, Including Installation, Configuration, And Maintenance Of Mainframe Hardware And Software.
Working Knowledge Of Mainframe Operating Systems, Such As Z/Os, Z/Vm, And Z/Vse, As Well As Mainframe Subsystems, Including Cics And Db2.
Familiarity With Mainframe Security Measures, Such As Racf Or Top Secret, And Ability To Implement And Maintain Security Protocols.
Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Quickly Identify And Resolve Mainframe System Issues.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Team Members And Provide Technical Support To End Users.
