- Train and mentor new tellers on bank policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in all transactions.
- Monitor and maintain cash levels in the branch to meet customer demands.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in cash transactions.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures of the branch.
- Collaborate with other departments within the bank to ensure seamless operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in banking regulations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to tellers.
- Create and implement strategies to increase branch productivity and profitability.
- Identify and report any potential security risks or fraudulent activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support branch manager in achieving branch goals and targets.
- Adhere to all bank policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Strong Customer Service Skills: A Lead Teller Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Assist And Engage With Customers.
Cash Handling Experience: This Role Requires Extensive Knowledge And Experience With Handling Cash, Counting And Verifying Large Amounts Of Money Accurately.
Leadership Abilities: As A Lead Teller, One Must Be Able To Confidently Lead And Manage A Team Of Tellers, Delegate Tasks, And Ensure Efficient Operations Of The Teller Line.
Knowledge Of Banking Procedures And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Banking Policies, Procedures, And Regulations To Ensure Compliance And Minimize Risks.
Attention To Detail: A Lead Teller Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Errors Or Discrepancies In Financial Transactions. This Also Includes Maintaining Accurate Records And Balancing Cash Drawers At The End Of Each Day.
