  • Develop and maintain our data infrastructure to support data-driven decision making within the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy, security, and accessibility of our data
  • Utilize your expertise in data engineering to improve the lives of others through our organization's mission
  • Design and implement data warehousing and ETL processes to support data pipelines
  • Create and maintain data models to organize and structure data for analysis
  • Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data needs and develop solutions for data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation and testing processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues or discrepancies
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools in data engineering and make recommendations for their implementation within the organization
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand data requirements and communicate insights and findings
  • Support data governance efforts to ensure compliance with regulations and privacy policies
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior data engineers on best practices and industry standards in data engineering.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Data Engineering: A Senior Data Engineer At Planned Parenthood Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Data Engineering, With A Proven Track Record Of Designing And Implementing Data Pipelines And Etl Processes.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages And Frameworks: Candidates Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Programming Languages Such As Python, Java, Or Scala, As Well As Experience With Data Engineering Frameworks Like Apache Spark And Hadoop.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Database Systems: A Senior Data Engineer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Database Systems, Including Relational Databases (E.g. Mysql, Postgresql) And Nosql Databases (E.g. Mongodb, Cassandra).

  • Familiarity With Cloud Technologies: Planned Parenthood Utilizes Cloud Technologies Such As Aws And Azure For Their Data Infrastructure. Candidates Should Possess Strong Knowledge And Experience With These Platforms.

  • Data Analysis And Visualization Skills: In Addition To Technical Data Engineering Skills, A Senior Data Engineer Should Also Have A Strong Foundation In Data Analysis And Visualization. This Includes Knowledge Of Tools Like Tableau, Sql, And Data Warehousing Concepts.
