  • Conduct research on policies related to reproductive health and justice
  • Analyze and synthesize information to inform policy recommendations
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement advocacy strategies
  • Monitor and track legislative and regulatory developments related to reproductive health
  • Draft and edit policy briefs, memos, and other materials for internal and external audiences
  • Attend and report on relevant meetings, hearings, and events
  • Communicate with stakeholders and partners to advance policy goals
  • Assist with organizing and facilitating meetings and events related to policy advocacy
  • Maintain accurate and organized records and databases related to policy work
  • Stay up-to-date on current issues and trends in reproductive health and justice
  • Support the overall mission and goals of Planned Parenthood through policy advocacy efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Reproductive Health And Rights: A Policy Intern At Planned Parenthood Should Have A Clear Understanding Of Reproductive Health And Rights, Including Current Legislation And Policies That Impact Access To Reproductive Healthcare.

  • Excellent Research And Analytical Skills: The Ability To Research And Analyze Complex Policy Issues Is A Crucial Qualification For A Policy Intern At Planned Parenthood. This Includes Being Able To Gather And Interpret Data, Identify Key Stakeholders, And Evaluate Different Policy Options.

  • Effective Communication Skills: As A Policy Intern, You Will Be Required To Communicate With A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Policymakers, Community Organizations, And The Public. Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Essential, As Well As The Ability To Effectively Present Information And Arguments.

  • Experience In Advocacy Or Grassroots Organizing: Planned Parenthood Is A Leading Advocate For Reproductive Rights, And A Policy Intern Should Have Experience In Advocacy Or Grassroots Organizing. This Includes A Passion For Social Justice And A Desire To Make Positive Change In The Community.

  • Ability To Work Independently And In A Team: A Policy Intern At Planned Parenthood Should Be Able To Work Independently And Take Initiative, As Well As Collaborate Effectively With A Team. This Includes Being Able To Manage Multiple Tasks And Deadlines, As Well As Being Adaptable And Flexible In A Fast-Paced Environment.
